Waiting: Movie Review

2 strangers, 2 lives, 2
stories, 1 connection.
Waiting is a movie which
has a simple plot of two different people having everything different except
one thing – their hospitalized loved ones.
A situation of
a newly married wife whose husband has met with a serious car accident and the
life of a 65 year old man whose wife is in coma since 6 months are beautifully
portrayed by Anu Menon (Director).
An
unlikely friendship of two people coming from two different walks of life is
quite interesting and engaging.
This
film while watching hinted me for another unlikely intimate relationship
between the two for making it just another predictable film showing the
embarrassment and guilt of the two towards their spouses.
But
this film had something different message for the audience.

Life
is about hope and waiting, taking some decision and again waiting for its
result. Although this film had everything but its bit indication towards an
artistic and its ending justifying the title ‘waiting’ makes it a cup of tea
that is probably not for everyone.
A
good piece of direction can be felt by watching this film, showing the
incidents of two people at different intervals and almost in a single frame is
commendable.
The film is well connected and does not over exaggerate the emotional and
confessing scenes.
Honestly
speaking about the performance of the two protagonists, every single viewer of
the film was convinced and amazed. I think every second person could relate
him/herself to the film for it showed the mentality of two different
generations, and its addition with the natural acting made the audience believe
that two such characters really existed for those 98 minutes.
A
must watch for people looking for some different out of the box entertainment.
