A good entertainer with upbeat background music makes this
Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba a one time watch for this year end.
Simmba is a remake of the Tamil blockbuster ‘Temper’. Copying
(inspired) every exact scene from the original film makes Rohit Shetty a good Xerox
machine than a director. Though this film is really fun to watch, the story
line pulls this film a little step backwards.

Ranveer singh does his acting job very well with his good
dialogue delivery and actions, Sara Ali khan has nothing much to offer for the
film. The supporting cast plays its role well and prevents the film from dipping
at some points.

The entry of Ajay Devgn made the cinema hall cheer up and
also made them realise that Ajay had more screen time than Sara in the film.
The film ends with an indication for Akshay kumaar’s upcoming film ‘Sooryawanshi’
as a police officer.
A copy paste film could have invested in just dubbing the
Tamil blockbuster than remaking the whole film scene by scene. Go and watch
Simmba for Ranveer Singh and to enjoy a good family entertainer.

Robot 2.0 Review
Starting off with the visual punch was pretty over the mark
for an Indian film. However the budget division of Rs. 600 crore didn’t have a
corner for a good script. Terrific visuals with a below average script is the
building stone of this Rajini – Akshay starrer film Robot 2.0.
What happens when the ‘Aura’ of a human and thousands of
birds combine? A negative energy is born, that is Akshay Kumar for you. And to
fight this supernatural power ‘Chitti’ the andro-humanoid
robot which was dismantled in the first instalment of this film is
brought back.
Nila (Amy Jackson) is another andro-humanoid
robot which is not designed to fight but only to serve humans and do
household chores, is shown to be a movie buff. Her role is as irrelevant in the
film as Sana’s (Aishwaria Rai) voice in the film.
Watch Robot 2.0 to witness the
third version of Chitti – 3.0 during the climax of the film. With an eye
catching visual effect and a weak storyline, Robot 2.0 is yet another above average
film.
Adi is a video game developer with the American dream; Tara
is an architect, destined for Paris. But they lock eyes at a wedding and all
their plans go out of the window. They flirt, take a trip together, move in and
decide to date for as long as they’re both in Mumbai. But as expected, both fall in love and
eventually marry. The story line has nothing new to give to its audience but the
screenplay is what attracts them.
The screenplay is kept intact from its Tamil
predecessor and is a scene-for-scene remake and capitalizes on great moments
from the original film. The music (largely retained) with Gulzar’s new lyrics
also does a throwback to “OK Kanmani” in the best way possible.
Aditya Roy Kapur shines as a goofy, shorts-wearing
man-child. Shraddha is mostly sincere too, but Adi and Tara’s impulsive
infatuation is countered by Gopi uncle (Naseeruddin Shah) and Charu aunty’s
(Leela Samson) golden-jubilee marriage; both senior actors grounding the movie
and saving it from becoming frivolous.
In spite of its Pros, one can’t deny that unsure
young lovers and their battle with commitment phobia is a tired topic to begin
with. Moreover, if you’ve seen the original Tamil film, it’ll get tedious after
a while, knowing exactly what’s coming next.

Talking
about the songs the tile track and ‘Enna sona’ will surely grab many ears. But it
is surprising that all those were composed by A.R Rahman, this happens because
his standards are expected much more higher than that used in this movie.
There is nothing much to offer in the acting part execpt the charm that both of them have. Naseer sir like always has impressed the audience by his versatality.

Also to be concidered is the direction of the film dosent loose the pace and even does not drag, a huge thumbs up for that.
If you haven’t seen the original though, you’re sure to walk
out of the theatre with a warm-fuzzy feeling.Go
and watch OK JAANU for Shraddha and Adity’s chemistry plus the amazing
screenplay of the film.
"Absolutely
magnificent... Dhoni, finishes off in-style... a magnificent strike into the crowd!
India lifts the world cup after 28 years, the party started in the dressing
room and it's an Indian captain who's been absolutely magnificent at the
night of the final."- Commentator, 2011 Cricket
World Cup.

Shushant Singh Rajput shines well throughout the film and
his hard work studying Dhoni’s skills can be clearly seen. Being a 3hour 10minute
film, earlier it was felt that the film might drag the story a bit but by
surprise the film doesn’t. The eagerness to know the story of a living legend
and the ability of the director to make the film in such a way that gives Goosebumps
to the viewers are the major plus points of the film.

M.S. Dhoni- An Untold
Story, is an ode to friendship, struggles, responsibility, compromise and
facing life regardless of the unexpected turns and twists.
The editing team of
the film has also done a great job as it tried to make the film as real as
possible. For example morphing Sushant into the actual video of the match with
Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Sngh.
The romantic scenes in
the film could be improved as love also played a major role in Dhoni’s life. But
this drawback gets faded when the other great aspects of the film amazes the audience.

As a reviewer I actually
don’t want to reveal anything about the way the story of the film is compiled
up, because it will spoil the viewing experience of the reader.
A must watch for everyone
as this is one of those films which leaves an impact on everyone’s lives. Go and
watch this film for this inspiring story, mind blowing Sushant’s resemblance to
Dhoni and a 190 minute journey of back to back Goosebumps.

Baar Baar Dekho:
Movie Review
There are a lot moments in the film to be celebrated about. The
realization of the importance of the present shown in a different way in the
film makes ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ a special weekend entertainer.
To enjoy the film firstly scientific logics have to be kept
aside, because if the film is watched from a scientific viewpoint this film is irrelevant. But! Simply understanding the little but cute also the big but
relate-able moments in the film makes you
come out from the movie theater as a person who realizes the importance of
present and the peace of mind while enjoying the small moments of life.

A relationship right from the childhood of Jai (Siddharth
Malhotra) and Diya (Katrina Kaif) that later in their adulthood turned into a near situation of marriage, was quite not acceptable for Jai. As Jai being a genius in
mathematics wanted a successful career than just being stuck between Diya and
her Father.
What next the story unveils is Jai experiencing the good and
worst highlights of his life- basically he wakes up in his future every time he
sleeps. This confused and scary journey to Jai was a way of realizing the
importance of his present and the time he had wasted in just working on his so
called to-be-successful career.
Unveiling those incidents would be literally lame as a
reviewer, because those moments can only be enjoyed in a theatre than just
reading it on a blog.
But to be truthful enough much of acting cannot be seen in
the film just the way the film is made will entertain you, thanks to Nitya Mehra
(Director). The supporting actors had not much to contribute but at the same
time played some major roles in the protagonist’s life. Depiction of the
futuristic world having the much developed gadgets are very similar to the
present day imaginations of the future, so nothing new in that part of the
film.
If the songs except ‘teri khair mangdi’ and ‘kala chashma’
were well made then this film could be the perfect Bollywood entertainer. However, if these minor flaws are kept aside then this film is really well made and has a
good message.
Go and watch ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ for its entertaining element
and its good message.

A Flying Jatt: Movie
Review
“A film made with good intentions but proved to be an
anti-pollution lecture towards the end.”- A.T.M reviews,
A jatt who gets some superpowers through a tree and a villain
who gets some superpowers through the same tree and their fight is what all
about in this movie, and of course some not so great lectures on pollution at
regular intervals towards the end.
The story revolves around a school martial art teacher
(Tiger Shroff), a good for nothing guy who loves his mom and falls in love with
a girl who basically enters the story from nowhere. Most of the first half of
the film focuses on Amaan’s (Tiger) comedy, his family history and the love story between Amaan and Kriti (Jacqueline Fernandez).
A big business man Malhotra (Kay Kay Menon) who wants a
bridge to be constructed on a river starting from a village to his factory, to
reduce his cost of transportation. But what hinders this plan is a 200 year old
sacred tree that is just on the point where the bridge has to be constructed.
Towards the interval,
a huge sized villain Raaka (Nathan Jones) is introduced. The villain is backed
by Kay Kay Menon. When Raaka is hired to cut the tree at night Amaan
coincidently comes across him and next a much expected fight scene while it is
heavily raining is showed. Eventually, by god’s powers when both get in
physical contact with the sacred tree, both attain super powers.

This is what leads to the opening of the actual story.
The major drawback of the film is that, by this moment the
audience looses their interest from the film and even starts moving out of the
theatre, this is an assured response of the audience from most of the theatres.
Like every movie Tiger Shroff, in this movie too is shown somewhere
connected to martial arts but what impresses more are some specific scenes in
the song ‘Toota Jo Kabhi Taara’ and Shraddha
Kapoor’s voice in the same song. But it’s advised not to expect anything
more than this in the movie.

Being a Remo D’souza film, it was expected that the film would
have some great dance moves but this film disappointed the viewers on that
section too. Talking about special effects, the film fails miserably, visual
effects of some scenes will probably haunt you at night.
Go and watch ‘A Flying Jatt’ for a good chapter on Pollution
and nothing else.
