Simmba: Movie Review

A good entertainer with upbeat background music makes this Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba a one time watch for this year end.

Simmba is a remake of the Tamil blockbuster ‘Temper’. Copying (inspired) every exact scene from the original film makes Rohit Shetty a good Xerox machine than a director. Though this film is really fun to watch, the story line pulls this film a little step backwards.

Ranveer singh does his acting job very well with his good dialogue delivery and actions, Sara Ali khan has nothing much to offer for the film. The supporting cast plays its role well and prevents the film from dipping at some points.

The entry of Ajay Devgn made the cinema hall cheer up and also made them realise that Ajay had more screen time than Sara in the film. The film ends with an indication for Akshay kumaar’s upcoming film ‘Sooryawanshi’ as a police officer.

A copy paste film could have invested in just dubbing the Tamil blockbuster than remaking the whole film scene by scene. Go and watch Simmba for Ranveer Singh and to enjoy a good family entertainer.

Robot 2.0 Review

Starting off with the visual punch was pretty over the mark for an Indian film. However the budget division of Rs. 600 crore didn’t have a corner for a good script. Terrific visuals with a below average script is the building stone of this Rajini – Akshay starrer film Robot 2.0.

What happens when the ‘Aura’ of a human and thousands of birds combine? A negative energy is born, that is Akshay Kumar for you. And to fight this supernatural power ‘Chitti’ the andro-humanoid robot which was dismantled in the first instalment of this film is brought back.

Nila (Amy Jackson) is another andro-humanoid robot which is not designed to fight but only to serve humans and do household chores, is shown to be a movie buff. Her role is as irrelevant in the film as Sana’s (Aishwaria Rai) voice in the film.

Watch Robot 2.0 to witness the third version of Chitti – 3.0 during the climax of the film. With an eye catching visual effect and a weak storyline, Robot 2.0 is yet another above average film.
